Yahoo Messenger 9.0 Beta

Tuesday, 30 October 2007 21:10 by admin

msg9_b1_client_4Yahoo has just released the next version of its very popular messenger. Version 9 is readily available in the Yahoo Messenger website, and the first thing that you will be noticing is its revamped look! Yeah, if you think that YM 8.0 is quite good looking, YM 9.0 is surely gonna blow your heads off.

I've already downloaded and installed it and all I can say is that it's a very good release. It has a completely new look to it (kinda reminds me of skype), and it sports different kind of themes to suite your mood.

I haven't noticed any new features that came with this release. Though there is really a great improvement in managing your contacts.

I'm currently using WLM (Windows Live Messenger) because it is required here in the office. But I guess I'll be shifting to this new version if given the chance. So, should you upgrade now? Definitely!

I'll pass.
Currently I'm using 8.0 stripped of almost every theme feature. No pictures... no themes... no icons... no toolbars.
... and BUZZ disabled.
RAM is precious to me.

Besides I don't need those themes to share Maria Ozawa related links.
